Welcome to Pure Reality Studios We are a Rotherham based recording studio for who specialise in mobile recording, for well as singer songwriters, duos, and bands. News Not doing very well at this... - 17/06/10 I aint doing well at updating this am I? Part of the problem is my life has become quite busy, as I'm concentrating on my network engineering career a little bit (getting a few qualifications out the way and the like). However, that doesn't mean I have no ability to record, it just means I'm seeking out people who want it. I'm also moving all my content onto a different host, which I already use to host my networking website (Here for all those inclined to take a look), as FastHosts appear to be a bit of a joke. Hint, if my traffic suddenly goes from 0 to 20 hits in a day, I do not expect my website to act like it has been DDOS'd and quit working. However, if you want to see what happens to a poorly cobbled together network infrastructure and server infrastructure by people still pushing Microsoft as a viable VPS solution, then go ahead, buy hosting from them! Anyway, this site may get more updates, or it may not, it depends how much time I can free up with all what my career is entailing. I'm hoping to get back into the recording game a bit in the near future, so anyone who isn't desperate for a recording right now, but would quite like someone who has the ability to record music, while also providing producing suggestions, and even double up as a guitarist/bassist/drum programmer/sequencer, then get in contact! Dormancy - 22/12/09 Okay, there has been an insane amount of dormancy on this site, I've scarcely updated the page in the last 18 months. Over the past 18 months a lot has happened, in my personal life, and it has meant the recording has taken a bit of a back seat. I did a little for the last band I was in (which sadly recently split), but also I am now the proud owner of a house, which is fine to do recordings in for guitars, vocals, bass, and synths if provided, or using programmed MIDIs. However, drums are still not an option in the place I am in, and with the loss of my bands rehearsal room, there is no longer a place to do drum recordings permanently. However, anyone that has a rehearsal room free, or has a good location to record drums, or wants to use program drums, everything is still fine for doing this. There are a couple of upgrades I am looking to get for the studio. I now have the option to record a lineout from a guitar amplifiers speaker output, so with use of cabinet modelling, getting a good recorded tone in a fairly quick time has never been easier, so the performance can take a front seat. I'll be getting thesoftware soon to do this (not very expensive, just the house is a slight priority currently). After that, I aim to get Superior Drummer and the Metal Foundry pack too, so drums soon should sound way more realistic than the current Drumkit from Hell 2 software. All in all, recordings are still available, they will sound better soon, more options are available, just get in touch! On Myspace - 29/05/08 I have done a few recordings recently, and have a few upcoming, including two previous clients, and two new ones. I also have put together a Myspace, with examples of the recordings so far. Bear in mind, that only one is using real drums, and I personally think this is one of the best ones, so I would advise all bands coming to me in future make provisions for recording an actual drumkit, rather than using Drumkit From Hell 2 for programmed drums. Holy Microphone Batman - 20/01/08 I now have enough microphones to record full drumkits, so pretty much any band related project can now be undertaken without any issues. A few recordings have taken place since Pure Reality Studios began, and also there are various ones are in the works to be done. Watch this space for more info. Portable Recording is all go - 17/07/07 Thanks to the purchase of a Macbook Pro, a Toyota Yaris, and Focusrite Octopre LE, full scale portable recording is now an option, and what Pure Reality Studios will focus on initially. Home recording in the home based studio is still available. The website has been redesigned - 08/07/07 The website has been redesigned, to give it a more up to date feel. Also the navigation has improved, which is never a bad thing. An RSS feed has been implemented too, WOOHOO!
